Furzeleigh House Country Cottages offers luxury accommodation within the most beautiful of settings in the heart of the magical East Devon landscape, just 3 miles from the sea.
We have two luxury self-catering 4 star cottages which balance rustic charm and modern convenience. We offer weekly holidays or, alternatively that well-deserved short break.
‘Furzeleigh’ nestles within the centre of a secluded country estate of 37 acres, where wildlife together with many species of bird roam free in undisturbed safety. Pheasants come to feed every day and inquisitive deer wander close by.
The location of the two cottages is ideal - the sea at Lyme Regis is just 3 miles away, and although we are in a countryside position, the market town of Axminster is just a 5 minute drive away. Bordering three counties ‘Furzeleigh’ is an excellent base for exploring West Dorset, East Devon & South Somerset.
The Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site is England's first and only natural World Heritage Site and is known more commonly as "The Jurassic Coast". It covers 95 miles of truly stunning coastline in East Devon and Dorset, with rocks recording 185 million years of the Earth's history. Take a ‘walk through time’ along the coast from your base at ‘Furzeleigh’, find a fossil, and see the geological story for yourself.
